“Find your purpose” can feel like being asked to write your own obituary at 25. No wonder people freeze. The good news is that purpose is usually found in small clues, not in one big revelation.
Look at what you do when nobody’s asking. The topics you read about for fun. The problems you notice and can’t ignore. The moments at work when time disappears. Those are clues, not answers, but they point somewhere.
Purpose is found in the doing, not in the thinking about doing.
Then test them in small ways. Volunteer for one project, take one class, help one person. Purpose grows through action, and it gets clearer each time you try something and notice how it feels.
Your why can also change. What drives you at 25 might not drive you at 45, and that’s healthy. You don’t need a final answer, just a direction worth walking in today.
