The Last Lecture

In 2007, Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch gave a lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”, knowing he had terminal cancer. Written with Jeffrey Zaslow, the book expands on that talk and its lessons about living well.

Three big ideas

  1. Chase your childhood dreamsPausch shares how he achieved most of his childhood dreams, and what they taught him.
  2. Brick walls have a purposeObstacles are there to show how badly we want something.
  3. Help others reach their dreamsEnabling the dreams of others can be even more rewarding than living your own.
