Pema Chödrön (born 1936) is an American Tibetan Buddhist nun and a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She was the principal teacher at Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia and has written several dozen books, including When Things Fall Apart. She retired in 2020.
